Jakob is currently pursuing a master’s degree in “Integrated Natural Resource Management” at Humboldt University in Berlin and previously studied agricultural sciences at the University of Halle. He is particularly interested in the intersections between agriculture and land use on the one hand, and between climate change and biodiversity on the other. As part of the RYCAM Indonesia project, he supports activities aimed at promoting climate-neutral agriculture, youth participation, and climate-resilient rural development. As part of the AfriNutriForest project, he supports smallholder-led agricultural research on agroforestry systems in the Arbomarket gardens in Senegal and Kenya.
