SLE 2019 Mike Bielski 2

Review 2016

For the past eleven years, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) has funded SLE TRAINING, enabling hundreds of experts from all over the world to participate in the popular SLE training courses with co-funding awards. We would like to thank DAAD for their longstanding support! In 2017, the DAAD ceased funding our training courses. This means that we cannot offer co-funding awards and only accept candidates with their own or sponsor funds (“self-payers”).

In the past, SLE TRAINING designed and implemented a variety of events, including the DAAD Alumni Special Project on the occasion of the European Conference of Tropical Ecology, tthe follow-up workshop “Scientists in Action for Biodiversity and Sustainability” and the Berlin Module of the German-Arab Master’s Programmes.

Six SLE TRAINING courses and two alumni workshops were held in 2016 with 174 participants from 65 countries.
