1. Registration

The booking of an event/ a course (event) takes place via the event website of the third-party platform eveeno. The link to the respective booking page by eveeno will be made available via

The legally binding allocation of places is based on the order of receipt of payment of the participation fee. If an event is already fully booked, this information will be announced on the booking page. The interested course participant can register on a waiting list via the booking page and will be notified if a place becomes available for him/her. The number of participants may be limited or participation only possible “by invitation”. Participation in an event may depend on personal and/or factual requirements. Information about the necessary requirements will be provided on the booking page.

2. Confirmation of registration and conclusion of contract

The participant concludes a contract by completing the order process and clicking the "Register Now" button. He/she is then bound by the payment and cancellation conditions listed in these General Terms and Conditions. The invoice will be sent by e-mail after receipt of payment of the participation fee. The invoice is also the confirmation of registration.

3. Terms of payment, consequences of late payment

Payment will be processed via the third-party platform eveeno. Participants can choose between the payment options SEPA bank transfer, PayPal, Instant Bank Transfer (Sofort Überweisung), VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Cash€. Online payments will be confirmed immediately. An invoice will be issued immediately via e-mail by eveeno. The participant shall bear any fees resulting from the wire transfer.

If a course participant does not pay within 14 calendar days after we have received the written registration, the participant loses his/her entitlement to a place and the organizer is entitled to release the place.

4. Prices

The price stated in the registration page is the end price and binding on the participant. All course material is included in the price. All prices include value added tax, if applicable. There are no additional fees, delivery and/or shipping costs, unless stated separately. Individual expenses for travel, accommodation and meals or other costs, including insurance and visa fees, are not included in the price and must be paid by the participant.

5. Right of withdrawal for consumers

A consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly neither commercial nor self-employed. The legislator requires us to provide the following information for consumers:

Withdrawal instruction

You have the right to revoke this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The revocation period is fourteen days from the day of the conclusion of the contract.

In order to exercise your right of revocation, you must send us

E-mail: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

by means of a clear declaration (e.g. a letter or e-mail sent by post) of your decision to revoke this contract. For this purpose, you can use our attached model withdrawal form, which is, however, not mandatory. To comply with the withdrawal period, it is sufficient that you send the notification of the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the expiry of the withdrawal period.

Consequences of withdrawal:

If you withdraw from this contract, we will immediately refund all payments we received from you, at the latest within 14 days from the day we receive notice of your withdrawal from this contract. We will use the same means of payment for this refund as you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you. You will not be charged for this refund.

Special note:

If you have requested that services commence during the withdrawal period, you shall pay us an appropriate amount corresponding to the proportion of services already provided by the time you notify us of the exercise of the right of withdrawal in respect of this contract compared to the total scope of the services provided for in the contract.

End of the withdrawal instruction

a) Subject to lit. b), you may nominate a substitute participant in writing (by e-mail to: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) at any time who will attend the event or the course with your confirmation of registration. There will be no additional charge to the participant. It is not possible to transfer the invoice or confirmation of registration, otherwise it is a matter of cancellation.

b) This should be done no later than eight calendar days before the scheduled event date.

 7. Cancellation by participant

A cancellation should be addressed in writing per e-mail to the organizer Humboldt-Innovation (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) under observance of the deadline.

To cover our costs, a cancellation fee will be charged. This amounts to:

  • 6% of the participation fee up to six weeks before the event
  • 25% of the participation fee up to 4 weeks before the event
  • 40% of the participation fee up to 3 weeks before the event
  • 60% of the participation fee up to 10 days before the event
  • 80% of the participation fee up to 3 days before the event
  • 100% of the participation fee as of 2 days before the event or if the registered participant fails to appear

The participant has the possibility to prove that the organizer has not suffered any damage as a result of the cancellation or that the damage incurred is considerably lower than the respective cancellation fee. This also applies if the participant is unable to attend the course due to a visa not granted (in time).

8. Cancellation and changes by the organizer

a) We reserve the right to cancel the event if the minimum number of participants is not reached. Registered participants will usually be informed by e-mail 20 at least seven calendar days prior to the planned date.  We reserve the right to cancel the event for other important reasons beyond our control (e.g. sudden illness of the speaker, force majeure). Any participation fees already paid by you will of course be fully reimbursed. Any further claims for liability and damages are excluded, except in cases of intent or gross negligence on our part.

b) The organization of a face-to-face event is subject to the proviso that official measures against the spread of the coronavirus or other pandemic circumstances in Berlin do not prevent the organization of face-to-face events. If necessary, we will endeavour to offer you a rebooking for a later course as an alternative to a cancellation in accordance with a) above, subject to available capacity. SLE Training may decide to implement the course as a live online course on the scheduled dates.

c) The organizer reserves the right to make changes or relocations. In exceptional cases, a change of course instructor or alteration to the schedule of the program is possible, provided the overall character of the course is maintained. Changes of this kind do not entitle course participants to withdraw from the course or reduce the participation fee.

9. Liability

Liability is limited to intent and gross negligence, with the exception of liability for injury to life, body or health of the participant or if liability is mandatory for other legal reasons. The aforementioned exclusion of liability shall also apply to slightly negligent breaches of duty by vicarious agents.

Liability for damage occurring during the journey to and from the event locations, as well as for losses and accidents, is excluded. The organizer does not provide insurance cover for participants.

For all claims arising from the contract, the place of performance shall be the venue, insofar as permissible. The law of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply exclusively, to the exclusion of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.

13. Final provisions

Should individual provisions of this contract be or become invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the rest of the contract. In such a case, the contracting parties shall replace the invalid provision with a valid provision that comes as close as possible to the economic purpose of the original provision. The same shall apply if a provision should prove to be incomplete.
