International webinar “Climate model village” (Indonesia) 20 April

The Global Adaptation Summit 2021 showed that resilience-building through locally-led adaptation is gaining momentum. But what does locally-led adaptation means in practice?

The SLE and partners invite you to the webinar “Climate model village” locally led resilience building, supported by science, replicable solutions from Indonesia, 20 April 2021 9:30 CET

In Indonesia, a farmer organisation and a faith-based NGO, with financial support of Bread for the World (Germany) and technical support of universities in Java, Sulawesi and Berlin, started their journey to develop climate resilient villages in 2009. Today, communities call them 'climate model villages'. Some of them have been awarded by PROKLIM, Indonesia’s Climate Village Program, launched in 2016.

What are the lessons learnt from JAMTANI’s and MPM’s climate model villages? Are they replicable? And what has been achieved by PROKLIM? Is Indonesia’s climate village program a promising option to promote locally-led adaptation even beyond Indonesia?

These and other questions will be discussed in an international webinar on April 20. The organisers kindly invite you to take part in it. Please find more information attached. Sorry for cross-postings
