Expedition to our research project NutriGreen!

We invite you to an expedition to the Sahel! Together with researchers from Burkina Faso, Senegal and Sweden, SLE has launched the EU-funded research project "NUTRiGREEN" this year.

NUTRiGREEN is investigating how traditional nutrient-dense fruits and leaves can help reduce hunger and poverty. Until now, traditional food crops such as moringa, baobab and hibiscus have been neglected by policymakers and scientists - although they are much better adapted to local conditions and have enormous nutrient density. NutriGreen is conducting co-research with smallholder farmers on how to better exploit the potential of these plants.

The Humboldt University of Berlin presents our research project "NUTRiGREEN" on the knowledge portal Sustainability.
