"What is in it for me?" Perspectives on integrating the private sector into ATVET in Rwanda and Uganda

Cooperations between the public and private sector in the field of vocational education and training are essential to create a skilled workforce spurring value creation and economic development.

Hence, a research team from SLE in collaboration with the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) explored perspectives on integrating the private sector into Agricultural Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ATVET) in Uganda and Rwanda. The team set out to investigate stakeholder perceptions around partnerships to improve the quality of  the education system in order to increase chances of employment of young people and to support inclusive economic growth.
