Scaling up diversity to scale up nutrition

The study analysed nutritional behaviour and nutritional diversity in rural Zambia and Togo:

Special attention was paid to children and women. Using the mixed-method approach, the study examines which factors influence the nutritional behaviour of the target group. The study shows that food insecurity in Zambia and Togo has similar causes and that the factors gender, income security and water infrastructure play a major role in both contexts.  Taking the results into account, recommendations are developed to ensure the nutritional diversity of the target group and to communicate behavioural changes.
