The Cameroon-study on protection versus usage of nature reserves is published and available online!

Using the example of Lobéké National Park in Cameroon, the park management, the involvement of the local population, possible conflicts with eco-guards and the human < > wildlife conflict are examined. In addition, fields of tension between commercial- and local users are depicted.                                                                                                                                                                   .

Together with different stakeholders, recommendations are elaborated for an improved compatibility between nature protection and its use. In addition to that, strategies are developed for how international development agencies, such as KfW Development bank and nature protection organizations, such as WWF can contribute to a participatory management that is in line with both: human kind and nature.
