University Cooperation
SLE set up a master’s programme in Mozambique. Large parts of the SLE curriculum were adapted to a completely new context and new target groups. This was the first time that SLE transferred its teaching programme to another country. A work-based study programme with compulsory attendance, this master’s programme in 'Rural Sociology and Development Management' has been in operation since early 2008.
Established in 2013, the university partnership with the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ) has been constantly extended . It focuses on knowledge transfer in the area of applied research and teacher training within the frame of the master’s programme in 'Strategies and Tools for Sustainable Development'.

SLE has collaborated with the Columbian Universidad Autónoma de Manizales (UAM) since 2013. This mainly occurs in the form of advice on introducing practice-oriented interdisciplinary commissioned research into the UAM portfolio.
