Photo Voice Project Cameroon

How do local people living next to conservation areas experience their daily lives? What aspects of their lives do they wish to portray and discuss?

In 2018, a research team of SLE invited local communities living next to Lobéké National Park, Cameroon, to participate in PhotoVoice, a method of visual anthropology, to document “important aspects of their lives”. For the first time, we show a selection of this material, offering a glimpse into local peoples' lived realities, hopes, and aspirations. Have a look here.
