Opportunity to participate in a 3-day intensive training in "Workshop Facilitation"

WORKSHOP FACILITATION

Institutional background: We are SLE (Centre for Rural Development), part of Humboldt University Berlin. Within our 1-year postgraduate course for international cooperation we conduct different training courses. This year we open up one of our courses for guest participants.

What is on offer: We are offering the opportunity to participate in a 3-day intensive training course in “Workshop Facilitation” – for details see teaser below.


Who could participate: Up to 10 participants from the Berlin refugee or migrant community who could use facilitation skills for their work with migrant or refugee groups, NGOs, University or other professional contexts. The training will be held in English, good to very good language skills are necessary. The training will be conducted in a mixed group with Humboldt University students of a postgraduate course in international development.

Where: The training will take place in Berlin-Mitte in facilities of the Humboldt University – further details will be given beforehand.

When: We are offering two trainings with exactly the same content:

  • Training I: February 19-21, 2018,    9 am-5 pm  (up to 5 external guest participants, 10 SLE participants)
  • Training II: February 26-28, 2018,   9am -5 pm  (up to 5 external guest participants, 10 SLE participants)
What are the benefits: Participants will gather knowledge and skills on how to professionally plan, organize, prepare and conduct interactive workshops of different lengths, settings and purposes. We expect participants to participate all three days from 9am to 5 pm and will  hand out a detailed certificate from Humboldt University

Costs: The training is free of costs for our guest participants. But we would be happy if participants later on could pass on their new skills within their communities.
