Dr. Katja Kehlenbeck

Katja leads the AfriNutriForest project, which promotes innovative agroforestry systems in Senegal and Kenya to strengthen local diets and resilient food systems. She has lived and worked in Indonesia and Kenya for nearly 10 years and has more than 15 years of experience in development-oriented agroforestry research, with a focus on Africa and Asia. In addition, Katja is actively involved in teaching and mentoring students. At the SLE, she contributes her expertise to advance sustainable and diverse food systems as well as food security.
