The Centre for Rural Development (SLE) at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin is seeking experienced Team Leaders for its 2026 Joint International Research Projects in Kenya and Benin.

The projects focus on sustainable agroforestry, water-smart agriculture, and rural development, combining interdisciplinary research, fieldwork, and stakeholder engagement to generate practical, policy-relevant results. They aim to support local communities, enhance livelihoods, and inform strategies for sustainable agricultural practices.

As Team Leader, you will guide an international, interdisciplinary team of Young Professionals throughout all phases of the project-from research design and field implementation to analysis, documentation, and dissemination. You will be responsible for coordinating team activities, supporting capacity building, and ensuring the research outcomes are of high quality and relevance.

Please note: For both positions, residency in the Berlin/Brandenburg area is required.
