Accommodation
SLE has reserved small two-room apartments with a shared bathroom at a university guesthouse from 7 August to 18 September 2010.
The rooms will be offered to holders of scholarships for two consecutive courses.
The rent for four weeks is between € 400 and €500 per person per room.
Participants may arrive on 7 August at the earliest. The cost of an additional over night stay (before 7 August) is about € 35 per night.
The guesthouse is modest but safe and is located within walking distance of SLE in the centre of Berlin.
Participants staying at this guesthouse should arrive before 22.00 hours on the day of their arrival.
Should scholarship-holders not make use of this offer, the rooms will be offered to other course participants. In general the guesthouse is in heavy demand during the summer. We nevertheless encourage participants who do not hold a funded scholarship to inquire at the guesthouse if further rooms are available and at what they cost. Please use "SLE Plus: Berlin Training for International Development Cooperation" as reference.

The House of Nations offers accommodation in one and two room apartments in different parts of Berlin for a minimum period of one month, starting at € 163.00 per month. Even if you stay only for 2 weeks, it might be cheaper to rent a place for a whole month.

Other international agencies
can be reached via the European Shared Accommodation Ring (Ring Europäischer Mitwohnzentralen e.V. - REM) using a nationwide number 19430 preceded by the relevant local dialing code (for example, 030 19430 in Berlin or 0228 19430 in Bonn) or by going to the REM website at: www.mitwohnzentrale.de. Ask for an accommodation request form (Vermittlungsauftrag) to be sent to you in which you can specify your wishes. It is worth following up your request with all the agencies at regular intervals. And please never pay any charges in advance. The agencies are allowed only to charge a commission if a legally binding rent agreement has already been signed.

just opposite the university guesthouse. If you would like to stay there
you might want to ask for a room on one of the upper floors. Nice, bright clean rooms, free W-LAN, roof-deck and nice patio. The hostel is highly frequented by young people (backpackers), who want to have fun 24 hours a day!

single rooms starting from € 29,00 - is situated a short distance from the eastern city centre (for those who like it more quiet), in a typically multicultural setting. From Tegel Airport take the bus “TXL”, change at the stop Alt-Moabit/Rathenower Strasse to Bus no. 245.
