SLE plus: Mission SLE plus: Berlin Training for International Development Cooperation initiated in 2005 is designed to meet the needs of professionals for short-term training in the area of development cooperation. We see development cooperation as a global responsibility and therefore train participants from "North and East - West and South". By bringing participants from different countries together with diverse professional experience and cultural backgrounds, the programme pursues an intercultural and interdisciplinary approach that is vital to development cooperation. The heterogeneity of course participants poses a challenge and, at the same time, a great opportunity. Our courses are learner oriented. Learning by doing is the key element of SLE’s teaching philosophy. Case studies, exercises, role-playing and team work help to create an environment of shared learning where participants can put the acquired methods into practice. The objective is to provide training that is practice oriented and geared to the increasing complexity of development assistance. Staff Funding
