Location

SLE is located in the heart of Berlin. Courses take place at the Emil-Fischer Villa, which was built in 1916 and was the former home of Emil Fischer, the founder of modern biochemistry and a Nobel prizewinner.

How to get to SLE


From Friedrichstrasse S-Bahn station (city train S1,S2,S5,S7,S9,S45,S75, Underground line U6):
Cross the bridge on the River Spree and walk down Friedrichstrasse for about 400 metres, then turn left into Hannoversche Strasse. This street takes a sharp left turn just beyond the side street Phillipstrasse. At this point continue walking straight ahead along Hessische Strasse. You will find SLE on the right-hand side of the street. Look out for the large orange SLE Buddy Bear behind the iron gate. (15 minutes)

From Naturkundemuseum U-Bahn station (Underground line U6):
take the Invalidenstrasse exit from the station, then turn right into Invalidenstrasse. Walk for about 150 metres, cross the street at the traffic lights and turn left into Hessische Strasse. Walk another 100 metres and just before the street curves slightly to the left you will see an iron gate and the sign “Seminar für Ländliche Entwicklung”. An orange Buddy Bear in the corner indicates that you have reached your destination. (8 minutes)

From Nordbahnhof S-Bahn (city train S1):
turn right at the exit, walk down Invalidenstrasse towards Chausseestrasse. Cross Chausseestrasse and continue down Invalidenstrasse until you reach Hessische Strasse, which branches off on the left-hand side of the street. Walk another 100 metres and just before the street curves slightly to the left you will see an iron gate and the sign “Seminar für Ländliche Entwicklung”. An orange Buddy Bear in the corner indicates that you have reached your destination. (10 minutes)
