SLE STUDIES

Postgraduate Course for graduates with initial practical experience in development cooperation

Increase competence, design cooperation structures based on partnership, plan, manage and assess programmes and projects, enhance personal skills: this one-year postgraduate course offers the ideal prerequisite to enter the field of development cooperation.

The course is conducted in German and runs from January to December. Attendance at this full-time course is mandatory. Each year twenty participants are given the opportunity to broaden their knowledge of development policy and become familiar with strategies and instruments of sustainable development.

Participants furthermore tackle the specific management methods applied in development cooperation, and extend their communication and team skills. These skills are put to use in a three-month project placement abroad. The SLE postgraduate course is funded through scholarships and has been at the heart of SLE for fifty years.
